Nick's story is incredible, to say the least, the kind of experiences he has gone through and created for himself are stuff that few people live through, all in one life. Today Nick has regular fireside chats with the world's top CEOs who swear by the depth and breadth of his knowledge and razor sharp insights. He has been a professor, an executive who managed a multi-billion dollar product line profitability and also a serial entrepreneur. He also has a wonderful family and is a proud father of three lovely daughters, who kiss him good night everyday, despite the everyday ruckus.

Don't Die Without Givng
The Best You
Can

But if you went back a few decades and met Nick as a teenager and even a young man in college, you couldn't have foretold that he would achieve all this even if you were a well wisher. Because there was nothing in his behavior and in his lack of achievements that would project anything but a mediocre life. And his anger and alcohol problem that he does not like to talk about anymore may have even landed him into prison. Nick had serious flaws that could prevent him from achieving much of anything. Always at the bottom of his class, he could not secure admission into any reputable University and ended up with a 2 year undergraduate degree in a fashion similar to the GED. Then how did this person who was never good in studies, never remarkable in anything, went on to do doctoral research that earned him the US Permanent Residency within 50 days under the national interest waiver program, especially when he was already removed/deported as an illegal alien from the United States just months before. How did he manage to work for some of the top companies of the world, transition into entrepreneurship, and then give it all up to follow his calling to help people see things more clearly.

Don't Die Without Living Life Your Preferred Way

Nick had too many impediments, a lot of them coming from his own nature and these are the kind of impediments that are probably hardest to overcome. But then he was also gifted with qualities which became the weapons with which he fought all the seemingly insurmountable obstacles that life threw his way. These qualities where perseverance, courage and a mind hungry for knowledge that could not be found in textbooks - the knowledge of how nature, people, and life works.

Don't Die w/o Dedicating To Something bigger than you

Nick never gives up until all possibilities are over. He has the courage to do what needs to be done, to go into uncharted territories and confront the unknown. He has had many fantastic and even weird experiences. There are so many instances in his life where he has gone for what seemed impossible to ultimately get exactly what he set out to achieve. He has taken massive risks, made mistakes which threatened to unravel all that he had created and continues to live that way. He believes that living like that is being in sync with his true nature which has ultimately helped him weather great crises and savor hard earned victories.

Being from India, Nick had been privy to timeless eastern wisdom. 'Life' proved to him their timeless validity. And he realized why all ancient scriptures and religious practices give so much importance to a strong value system. Living ethically is not only the ‘right’ thing to do but it’s also very practical and ensures great returns in the long run. Being honest, loyal, committed are not just lofty values to be given lip-service to but qualities that return tangible benefits just like other positive qualities like hard work, smartness and discipline. But the connections may not seem obvious and these qualities are difficult to stay true towards when one lives in world where the majority seem to opt for the easier, unethical choices. But a life devoid of the right values inevitably leads to destruction as Nick has witnessed time and again, marvelling at the mysterious but sure ways the universe unfolds. That is why he has now dedicated his life to the study of the ancient wisdom of Vedanta and having being a successful executive and entrepreneur his take is specially valuable for those in business. Nick believes that the universe is unfolding and you need to align yourself correctly with your true nature. When you do that you become a receptacle of the universal law and knowledge. Then you float like a ship which sails with the tide and the impossible becomes possible just like it has several times in Nick's life. Just like how he survived in one of the most expensive cities of the world for 6 months without an address; or how he fought with the Chief Of Indian Armed Forces Medical Core and won the decision after a personal medical evaluation by the Lt. General himself to join the National Defence Academy as an Air Force cadet; or managed to land safely even though he was not able to open his parachute by himself; or how he recovered his lost possessions hundreds of miles away from where they were stolen that eventually paved his way into the USA; Or how he managed to not panic and survive an underwater scuba diving accident that resulted in a 2 hour long surgery. There are many similar stories that are incredible to hear.

Nick's greatest learning is that with creativity, perseverance and wide experience you can achieve great heights. Without them you are doomed to a life of mediocrity no matter how well you have been trained or which of the biggest schools you attended. You will never achieve your potential unless you have absolute freaking perseverance. Perseverance also means creativity because you can't persevere if you are not creative. A non-creative person will give up on perseverance. A wide variety of experiences is also equally important because they help you learn through cross pollination. Nick has been a professor, a serial entrepreneur, a ballroom dancer, a martial artist, a master scuba diver and a licensed skydiver among other things. He routinely applies lessons learnt from one activity into entirely different aspects of life. He recently had to go through an excruciatingly painful divorce after 24 years of marriage and found the world he had lovingly built for himself over those years come crashing down. He stared at the prospect of several years of recovery and picking up the scattered pieces of his life to build it from scratch again. But then he received wisdom which helped him recover and take over his responsibilities in record time. And this wisdom came from the most unlikely source - scuba diving. It was certain insights that Nick had picked up during his dives that helped him rewire his brain in the shortest possible time and spring back to getting his life together and move on to his next great challenge.

Today Nick is back to doing all the things he loves - being the best father he can to his daughters and sharing his life lessons with people so that they can skip the painful and time taking process of trial and error, and achieve their goals, and even go beyond what they had set out to do. Nick's story is about a divergent mind that explores and in the process does things that hurt but teaches lessons.
